What is YAC?  The JMMF Youth Advisory Council (YAC)  is a council (board) of young people that provides representation or a “voice” for youth in the community, and recommendations and guidance around issues affecting young people.

What is the purpose of YAC?  The JMMF Youth Advisory Council will meet to provide feedback on issues as requested by the organization or community.  JMMF YAC will also take on projects that help to further advance the mission of JMMF and the surrounding communities.  Being a member of JMMF YAC will allow youths to fulfill our mission to become leaders in healthcare, economic, artistic, and technological development.

Why should I join YAC? 

  • To be involved in making a difference in the community. 
  • To be a voice for yourself/other youths. 
  • To meet and inspire other youth in the community. 
  • To have fun. 
  • To be a pillar, role model, and voice for upcoming youth. 
  • To collaborate between youth and adults to be leaders and share ideas for the future. 

Who can join YAC?

  • Students in 6th-12th grade.
  • Any youth or young adults between the ages of 13-21
  • Young adults between the ages of 22 – 25
