Jackson Medical Mall Proprietary HealthCare Institute is a minority-owned, non-profit Mississippi Corporation that was established in May, 2006. It is “Licensed by the Mississippi Commission on Proprietary School and College Registration, License no. C-680”. The major objective of this corporation is to train individuals in a non-traditional manner for life-long skills in health care. In addition, the business was created to assist in providing the health care industry with a highly qualified and trained workforce to fill the nursing shortage the profession is currently experiencing.
The immediate need of the health care industry was recognized and a system that will generate a well-trained entry-level workforce was created. Mrs. Maxine Lindsey, the Program Director, educational background and nursing experience spans greater than 40 years in the healthcare industry. She has researched and analyzed the system from “head to toe” in ensuring that JMM/CNA Training Center, Inc., adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations governing the operations of a certified training facility for Certified Nursing Assistants.
Mrs. Lindsey is in charge of the day-to-day management of the total operation as established by the Board of Directors. Partnerships are being recruited to help raise up the next generation of nurses.
